What's in a clay kit?
Soft squishy clay (of course!) and super handy tools.
The ONE FOR MUDDY KIDS is enough for a little person to have a play around and make one of our kids projects - about 400g. It's aimed at primary school aged kids. Older kids, and maybe even mature year 5's and 6's might prefer a full kit.
Access to the pottery-portal, with easy kids projects, cheat sheets, helpful illustrations and how-to’s to get you on your way. Clay isn't a toy, so it helps for muddy kids to have some oversight and encouragement from their big-people.
Free firing and glazing - save yourself $30per kg! To turn your items in to fully functional microwave/dishwasher safe ceramics they'll need to be fired! Unlike other kits, we don't hide costs - it's all included! Simply drop it off at the Clay Sydney Victoria Road Studio in Marrickville after lockdown. Don't worry clay doesn't go off, so it will happily sit on your shelf until it's fired.
If you’re out of area, we’ve a long list of Pottery Pals around Australia who will be able to help you for a fee. Too easy.
Want to add some colour? Add in an underglaze paint palette!
Our techniques focus on texture, which we then glaze with a gorgeously sumptuous white glaze for you. If you’re a colourful character, and want your ceramics to match, add on one of our fabulous, handmade underglaze palettes! One palette is enough for two people to decorate their work.
